Travel: Essen City + Primark Haul

Primark Haul:

As I already mentioned in one of my outfit posts before, I spent some time in Munich on Saturday and in Essen on Monday, both are beautiful german cities. I only took some pictures in Essen after I did some shopping at the local Primark store. To be honest I had never really understood those people being all excited about Primark before because every time I went to the shop in Frankfurt there were only a few pieces which caught my attention. This time there were so many amazing clothes, the whole SS14 collection by Primark is festival inspired, there were tons of kimonos, printed tees and crochet clothes. I really enjoyed shopping there haha. On top of that the clothes are a real bargain, you can get so many stunning clothes for only 15€ or less. Some of the printed shirts I bought were only 3€.
Talking about Essen in general, I fell in love with the city. It felt so good to travel again and just to go by train, watching the beautiful landscape  pasting by while looking out of the window. The weather was also awesome, the sun shone, it was hot, but there was that thundery atmosphere, too. When we left there was a heavy thunderstorm happening and it was raining pitchforks! So we were really lucky to be already at the train station when it happened. :-)

Outfit: I'll forget your name here, you'll become a stranger.

Tribal printed crop top: Urban Outfitters || Disco shorts: American Apparel || "Dioon" Boots: Vagabond

Here you can see the crop top I got on sale at Urban Outfitters a while ago.  It's perfect for colder summer days and I really like its print. I also fished my disco shorts out of my wardrobe I wore them a lot in winter, because they keep you quite warm. To me disco shorts are probably the prettiest and sexiest high waist shorts ever! There are no words for how much I love that gorgeous ottoman hand piece, it's like made of hippie / boho dreams haha. I always wear it with dresses or crop tops like I did here.
Last weekend was simply awesome, I went to Munich on Saturday and on Monday I spent some time at Essen. Two beautiful cities where I shopped at my favorite stores, too! Be prepared for my next weekly update city special featuring my Forever 21/Brandy & Melville/Primark Haul. I got so many beautiful new clothes, I can't wait to show you them and wear them in my outfit posts. :-)

Outfit: We're all searching for our heroes in life.

Fringed vintage printed kimono: Romwe || Van Halen tee: Forever 21 || Studded denim shorts: River Island (old) || Platform "Dioon" boots: Vagabond

This week I've been traveling a lot by rail and I'm so thankful for having tons of kimonos in my wardrobe, because they are everything when it comes to the discussion what to wear during a long summer day including traveling, long city walks and shopping trip. That kimono you can see here is SO beautiful, even more beautiful than I expected when I received it. I remember that Zara originally stocked it, but it was sold out pretty fast. The print is very vintage - almost baroque inspired and got these cute, little roses as well as boho patterns all over it. On top of that its design and fringing borders are perfect! I decided to wear it with my Van Halen band tee and favorite studded shorts in order to add some Rock 'N' Roll vibe to the outfit. I was shopping with a friend of mine at Forever 21 Munich yesterday after not being there for 9 months now and I realized how much I missed that shop. It's huge and there are tons of clothes where you can find some hidden treasures between clothing racks. I wish there was a Forever 21 store at my home town, too!

Outfit: Summer of Love.

Paisley tunic: Free People || Coin necklace: Urban Outfitters || Boots: Zara || Rings: Vintage .

I'm totally feeling like a 70s flower happy hippie child while wearing that gorgeous dress by Free People - it's not only perfectly comfortable, its print is also beautiful and edgy. I really like its design which reminds me of a butterfly in a way. On top of that those ruffles and pink color make it look pretty cute. I got it on ASOS.com some months ago when I had a 20% off voucher code and I was searching for a hippie-like throw for summer. (btw it is really perfect for summer nights when you're just sitting in the garden or in the meadow and watching the sunset… I really enjoy those magical moments in summer). I think there's no brand or online shop existing who got that cool boho-hippie vibe inspired tunics/dresses as Free People does. I wish I could have all products of their website in my wardrobe to be honest haha.

Weekly Update #5

New in …
Hippie chic dress: Mango || Floral blouse w/ crochet sleeves: Romwe (also available at NastyGal) || Iron Maiden tee: H&M || Distressed shorts: Romwe

A lot of new stuff came new in during the last two weeks. I'm so happy I managed to get my hands on the boho printed dress from Mango I showed you for my "wishlist" in my last weekly update. A real bargain btw - 50% off! Can't wait to show you how I combine the 4 pieces!

Inspired…
That quote totally got me. It contains probably one of the most important messages and ideas in life. We all have our ups and downs, we all know difficult situations we had or still have to handle and suffer from being hurt by someone. Nothing is perfect in life and sometimes hard times seem to last forever. But you can't spend years and years crying over something you can't change and stop enjoying life. Every day is precious, we only have one life to live & we should enjoy every day at the fullest. Being happy is a state of mind and even though when you feel all alone, losing everyone you love or you aren't satisfied with your every day life - make the best out of it and improve it. Never stop dreaming, never stop believing and achieve what you'd wish the most.

Listened…
I completely fell in love with that song. No words for it, simply listen to it!

What's actually going on…

I've been looking forward to Saturday when I spend the day with a friend of mine in Munich. I haven't seen that beautiful city since February and to be honest I have seen nothing else than my hometown for the last 5 months which can be pretty boring and annoying. I love traveling and I love to visit different places, being stuck at only one single place is quite terrible for me. It feels good to forget the everyday life and just go shopping and having fun with friends in a different city. Can't wait to shop at Forever 21 or Brandy & Melville again, I love those shops way too much. I will definitely show you the pictures of the day with my friend Ally in an post coming next week! :-)

Outfit: Wild for the night.

Boho print kimono: OASAP || "California Wild Nights" top: Forever 21 || Shorts: Pimkie || Platform boots: Dioon by Vagabond || Necklace: Forever 21

My never ending love for kimonos is pretty obvious, right? This one has a beautiful indian paisley pattern I adore. Its colors are also perfect for summer and somehow it reminds me of the style of Ivy from 90210 who's my favorite tv series character ever btw. Furthermore I wanted to stay casual and comfortable on that day, so I decided to wear my favorite summer  combo (you all know from previous posts): Kimono + print top + denim cutoffs + loads of jewelry. I always love matching prints of kimono and shirt just like I did here. You always get the best results when considering that both prints have the same colors and the theme is consistent. The shirt is so cool and it was a real bargain. It expresses my love for California and I like that western inspired font.
To be honest I wear my Vagabond booties more than 4 times a week, they are the most comfortable boots EVER. These are so easy to walk in, you won't get tired feet and they are less sweaty than my beloved biker boots or western booties I usually wear in summer haha.
I'm also experimenting with my new curling wall and sea salt texturizing spray the last couple of days, somehow I currently prefer my hair wavy and it also reminds me of my vacations I spent on the seaside (way too long ago, around 3 or 4 years…). Looks like I'm going to store my straightener away and only  go for my new love, the curling wall, and sea salt spray. Beach waves, mermaid hair or whatever, here we gooo! x

Outfit: Reprobate Romance.

Lace maxi dress: OASAP || Fringed leather jacket: H&M (old) || Necklace, Navajo handpiece: Vintage || Concho belt: eBay

That dress is made of dreams, right? When I saw it on OASAP it was love at first sight, I guess (and the dress isn't expensive at all even though the quality is great!!). I don't own many maxi dresses, but this one is my favorite. Even though it is full-length, it has an asymmetric design, so you can still peek the legs. The creamy color of the lace is also perfect! The material is very sheer, so I always wear a black bandeau underneath. That dress reminds me a little bit of those dresses which were worn by rich ladies in western movies, you know haha. The whole outfit is also very western inspired, I combined the dress with my beloved fringed leather jacket (I got it 2 years ago and it was secondhand, I guess it was originally from H&M's 2010/11 collections..), my gorgeous navajo hand piece I got from my mother and as usual -  my huge concho belt. In order to add some edge and grunge vibe to the look I picked my chunky platform heels which always look great together with maxi dresses!
